Welcome to 'Showtime'...
an overview of dog shows and exhibiting
First let me say that dog shows are what you make them. If you are only out
to win that's fine. If you want a day out with friends both four and two legged
that is great. If it is a real family affair for both humans and animals it can
become a time of sharing and enjoying yourselves.

No-one ever said that dog showing is an easy hobby. From preparation and
travel to ring nerves it can be a daunting thought for the beginner and an
exhausting day or weekend for the seasoned exhibitor who has travelled many
hours to the venue and has that same trip home hanging over their heads all
day or weekend.

Nevertheless it is a hobby that 'hooks' even the most sceptical and becomes
quite addictive in a very short space of time. To anyone who is considering this
new hobby we say 'go ahead... you don't know until you have tried it and like us
you will probably find that it becomes a very important part of your life'.

show dogs main aim in life.
Everyone puts their 'best
paw forward' in the hope
of joining the winners.
