Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet crosses Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills so they can run and play through streams, and feel the sunshine and wind on
their faces. There is plenty of everything they need to feel warm and comfortable. All the animals are
restored to health and vigour. There they are made whole and strong again. The animals have everything
they need except for the special one who had to be left behind.
And so they romp and play and wait for us ... across the Rainbow Bridge.
William was one of 5 puppies from my second Cardigan litter made possible by Bridget Smeeton who kindly loaned me Barty
(Aust/NZ Ch Badagri Crest of the Wave) for an Aussie holiday all those years ago.  He loved to show but was often over
shadowed by his sister Chelsea (Gr Ch Llandaff Hearts On Fire ADM JDX HIT).  Despite this William had many In Group
awards, was Dog CC and RUBOB at the WCC of Victoria’s Championship Show in 2003 and was Best Veteran in Show (> 10yrs) in
2010; in 2005 he was Res CC and RUBOB at the Royal Melbourne Show.

William got his herding instinct test on sheep, was awarded several titles in ADAC agility (he loved tunnels) and gained his CCD
and CD obedience titles.  The final pass for his CD title was a score of 198/200 at the WCC of Victoria’s Obedience trial
where he was awarded Best In Trial. William attended Pet Expo for several years and appeared on stage with Dr Harry
Cooper. William sired 3 champions from one litter: Ch Llandaff Wils Secret Wish, Ch Llandaff Will You Wish Me Luck and Ch
Llandaff Will He Tell.

William had a delightful nature and spent half his life on his back as he loved getting his belly rubbed.  A friend of mine said to
me “We will always remember William for his extra special charm, his big nose, his romantic escapades with the girls (he loved
girls) and now he is a legend in the book called “Cardigan Corgi Capers”.

William was a kind, gentle dog with a clownish attitude to life.   I miss him.
